This is awesome Raymond. As I read your blog, my memory bank opened up. You are so right. Smells (aromas) can take you back to a moment in time(s). One of the smells that brings back a memory for me is a perfume that gramdma wore. I recall it was Christmas time, and I was in Macy’s. And as I walked past the perrfume counter, I got a wiff of one of grandma’s favorite perfume. It was White Linen by Estee Lauder. That smell stopped me in my tracks, because at the sometime the store was playing Christmas Caorls, and at the very moment they were playing one of your grandma’s favorite Christmas Carol. It was “I am Dreaming of a White Christmas.” It took me back to when I was a little girl at Christmas Time and I remember your grandmother would sing White Christmas. When this happened, I just knew in my heart that Grandma was with me, and to remind me that Christmas was her favorite Holiday. All I could do was cry. I miss her so much. We all miss her terribly!!! She definitely left a Godly Legacy for all of us. God Bless you Raymond. I am very proud of you.
I agree 100% The list just goes on and on.. I have had the same thing happen to me with somethng that reminded me of Grandma but it was not a smell, it was a song.
