I am not a political person so please refrain from writing to me and giving me all your reasons as to why this is a good thing or how I have the “facts” wrong, I am simply turning my thoughts inside out. I am only writing this right now because it is everywhere and in my face right now on TV so of course I am thinking about it. The problem for me is that this is totally like the big kid on the playground calling out, ” It’s my ball, and I’m going home so game over suckers!” I don’t specifically remember what comedian it was that said it but the line,” If we could go back to when we were 12 I clearly think we would kick our own asses.”
The Government shutdown will affect thousands of Jobs, Loans, Payments, and many other facets of a lot of people’s lives and the one that is really irritating the hell out of me is the delay or complete stoppage of Military personnel pay. Are you kidding me? How about every one of you suit wearing douche bags in congress trade in your Gucci computer bag for an M-16 and a canteen, since you wont be able to stop at a Starbucks in a cave somewhere in the middle east you may want to pack some beans and find a nice rock to grind it up with. As of now with all the complaining going on with the government about money and the NFL about money I’m sure we could pay our soldiers, If not I hope Ben Rothlisburger can send the speaker of the house on a slant route to Ramadi, Don’t worry grenades don’t hurt much. Without the men and woman who are serving you would not have the opportunity to complain about the millions you are being paid to play football and the Government would not have all the time they do to sit back and “work on a spending plan.” It almost disgusts me to see that we can do this to some of our most important Americans.
To be honest with you, now that my blood is boiling again due to thinking about this, An AP article also states that the agency responsible for guaranteeing roughly 30 percent of home mortgages, the Federal Housing Administration, would be affected and action on government-backed loans to small businesses would be suspended. Wow, so while all these wealthy folks sitting in this gigantic room playing the largest game of Monopoly ever take their sweet time, we will make the small businesses suffer. What a Joke!
